These forums suck

The discrepancy between what's tolerated on the forums and what's tolerated in game is ridiculous. You can pretty much say and do anything in game, no matter how badly it affects other people's experience. You can run around knifing lowbies inside their own faction's quest hub, you can aoe onto hearth spots, you can say the most vile things imaginable... What's the point of having a friendly forum for a game that's dominated by scum? Any 30 continuous minutes in game I see things that are worse than any of the edited stuff on these forums.

My favorite n64 game is Mischief Makers, has anyone else played it? It's one of the few sidescrolling games on the n64 and its made by Treasure (Dynamite Headdy, Ikaruga, Gradius V, etc)

If not you haven't played it, you definitely should!

It's a good game, one of about three or four actually worth owning on the N64.

You won't be making any mischief on these forums though, that's for sure.

I adore the n64, sir.

Console is definitely lacking compared to say, the PS1, but its got 20~ solid games. My personal favorites being:

1. Mischief Makers
2. Goemon: Legend of the Mystical Ninja
3. Snowboard Kids
4. Bomberman Games (all 3 are solid)


Didn't really want to list 1st party Nintendo games because they are to be expected, but those are some 3rd party titles I thought were great.

I'm surprised Sin & Punishment isn't in there as a fan of Treasure (rip). Goemon is good as always. You'd really have to dig deep to name 20 good titles.

Racism, vile language etc etc is still moderated on the forums. If you see anyone spout shit in a chat simply report them and they will most definitely be punished. Ganking lowbies is definitely not of the same regard...

Just ignore somebody if they say something you dont like. Not very hard.

At the end of the day, it is a PvP server. We all went through and still go through the endless camping of players at flight paths and quest hubs, but when you finally get through it, the reward is much more satisfying. Also the ignore option works wonders for people who spam.

But if you do see anyone saying anything against the ToS, feel free to screenshot and report them in-game via the Verbal Harassment option and we will take care of it, as Zyfire said.

I had mentioned in a similar thread, I think it would be a good idea to have a "smack talk" sub forum. Just put an adult sign off on it to enter and post within.

To OP's post, you are clearly in the minority. As you mentioned to someone else, if you don't like it-ignore it. I'm sure you can find a message board somewhere that suits your needs. Why you believe these forums should be tailored to your desires and not the majority of reasonably minded folks who come here to exchange information, is probably something you should explore.

You worked that out based on a few replies courtesy of Reddit? I'd wager the actual majority of people playing on this server would rather GMs concerned themselves with real issues such as helping someone that's stuck when a door closes preventing them from reaching the last boss of a 2 hour instance, or y'know, genuine reports of exploits. As opposed to wasting their time censuring every person that yells 'L t A A F'.
