Whats the point of...

This is my first private server am I am here largley on part on how sad and disappointed with I am with retail WoW and constantly reminisced about the good ol days. I wanted to see if I had changed or WoW had changed and my god retail WoW is garbage. I'm sitting here 10 days played and still craving more while I cant stand even 10 min in WoD.

It's too bad Blizzard "lost the backups" or else they could be raking in even more money with WoW Classic... and admit that everything after WotLK sucked.

What's the point of making an account on a vanilla private server site just to ask why people like vanilla and then say that you think its not as good as the expansions? Obviously most people prefer this over the expansions or those private servers would be seeing these numbers.

If you don't feel this way then what's the point in what you're doing?

Log into WoD for 2 hrs and you will know why. Especially if you pvp.

No noob ass AOE tanking. People actually have to use CC and pull their heads from their asses. Mana actually runs out. etc.

Same. I've had more fun playing Nostalrius in my first four days alone than the four months I spent playing Warlords of Draenor in it's entirety.

Because it's a video game that I enjoy. I've replayed plenty of old video games I don't see why WoW would be any different.

The same reason I watch a movie / read a book more than once.

Because I find it enjoyable.

Present-day WoW just feels so empty and boring; everything is streamlined to the point where little or no effort is required of the player and social interaction is practically nonexistent. Getting a boatload of daily/weekly epics seems great at first, but after a few days of the same rewards being thrown at you left and right and seeing virtually everyone else running around with the same epics as well, the novelty wears off real fast and suddenly your "epic" rewards don't seem so epic anymore. Sort of makes you appreciate the ones that requires a great deal of time and effort to obtain more, and that's probably why a good deal of players are so interested in replaying vanilla.
