If highest rank is permanent after 1.6 (BWL) according to patch notes and 1.7 (ZG) is when they add updated r14 weapons according to: https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic. ... &t=4#p1178

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to buy them later on. Prior to 1.6 (retail) you might have needed to re-rank to purchase r14 weapons. But if 1.6 made it permanent and current system already has highest rank, then only admin knows.

Edit: Just tested that my decayed alt couldn't buy item from my highest rank so it seems old way is in place.
