To be fair the ToU casts a VERY large net.

Having the name Adam, Abel, or Jesus in your character, or guild name can be considered against the ToU because those are names tied to religion, as is Muhammad etc...

In the end it is Nosts' decision, but I'd hope they allow free thought/speech on their server.

What's also ridiculous are all those people who take some sort of weird pride in being part of barrens chat. Whenever in a different lowbie area someone said something 'barrens chat-worthy' and were told to go to barrens with their bs, their response pretty much everytime was " ".

i agree with Pottu, it's fucking ridiculous. Blackmetal and his goons have made my black friend completely leave the channel because everytime he's in there it's hitler worship. Fucking children need to learn how to behave.

That idiot invited me to his guild "whites only" about a week ago.

I believe that guild name has been banned, but I would have assumed his account would have been banned too for that. Seems I'm wrong.

Either way, I strongly support the GM's taking care of these kids to keep a bit of decency at this server.

Besides, people shouldn't get upset about things random people say on the internet. We're all anonymous here, so racist, and homophobic slurs can't be targeted specifically at you unless you let them know who/what you are.

The terms of use is pretty straight forward in cases as these.
Common sense & use of language determin the result.

If the barrens chat should be clear of all rules (like people act now) that would spread across the server.
Again;
Any form of racism, hate speech, pornogrpahic content and the likes of either are not allowed.
Use barrens chat "as the barrens chat" and not as a feclal matter distribution channel.
I know very well that barrens chat always takes it a bit further and GM's are around to draw the line.
