please Clarify Dual (multi) boxing for me guys!

Connecting more than one account at the same time, for the same person can be done in several situations. We agree that it may be hard to distinguish which situation is legit or not.
What is not allowed :

• Using a third party software to duplicate keyboard actions
• Having a few characters online and obviously exploiting some system (PvP abuses for example)
• Having one character following another to rush quests, dungeons, ...

What is allowed :

• Enchanting one character with another
• Trading items (bank characters)
• More generally, you should never need to connect 3 or more characters at the same time

I"m sure this is a silly question but just to clarify, leveling separate characters of the around the same level
(not ''rushing'') without any programs or hardware would be allowed right? If not then only 1 character will be allowed per I.P Address to level at a time? Thanks for the clarification

I believe Daemon is referring to reverse Towing method. as in, having a level 60 rush a low level throughall quests and dungeons by just having that character following the lvl 60 or "towing". this was used to power level the lower level character by using your level 60 on a different account. it becomes even more ridiculous if the lowbie is out of party and tags every mob, which is then killed by the lvl 60, netting in full xp for the lowbie.

I would assume leveling 2 characters up at the same time by having a toon at the same level would be questionable by the devs.

If not, wouldn't it just be easier to say that it's only okay to multibox bank and enchanting alts?

I would like to see a a definitive answer by a admin/developer on this aswell to clarify the scenario.

I believe leveling two characters falls under this definition : "Having one character following another to rush quests". And it is not mentioned under "What is allowed", so...

This would complicate things beyond reason. At any given time I could potentially have 4 different characters connected from my IP, all played by different people. Even then, sometimes I have one of them /follow me because as it turns out, my 4-year old daughter is not very good at navigating by herself.

Clarification on this would be useful, but either way I'm not sure how the Admins are going to moderate this regardless. Do they just ban all use of /follow?

The reason they put these rules in, is so that we don't have trains of 5+ guys leveling to be sold at 60. I didn't multibox in vanilla cuz I didn't want to pay the extra money for another account. Since accounts are free, everyone would multibox.

Also they said it plain and simple. If you are using a program OR NOT using a program, but using your second account for things other than DE'ing trading or auctioning, you are breaking their rules. That means tabbing btwn two characters to quest them together, even if one isn't following the other.

I have multiboxed on other servers, hell on instant 60 servers I did 3man ZG cuz I had ~10 mages chained together to farm trash and bijous with. This is their server, their rules, it sucks for some of ya sure... but get over it. You will be fine.
