How do you make leveling fun?

Levelling is mind dumbingly boring in vanilla, you just force yourself through it.

I try to take every where in 2-3 areas of the same level range and do them according to level. It means more traveling but I am always a bunch of levels above the Q mobs which makes it very easy to finish the Qs. Trying to make things in an organized fashion give me a lot of joy and also structure. So taking care of professions - selling items - clearing bag space - all with a bit of planning - makes leveling feel like a small part of the big picture.

People think because it takes longer, must mean it is better. Where in reality it just makes it boring. Do people still think it is hard? They've obviously never challenged themselves before, or are just simple minded.
