This post is about modyfing mpq file which they already replied to saying it is illegal to do so. (They also said that in their FAQ here: https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3 ). But it's not what im asking about, from what i heard Tmorph (for example) does not replace your mpq file and this what I question.

but you're just locally changing your appearance, surely they wouldn't ban for race model changing

i don't think blizzard ever did

i'd much rather play ud model than dwarf model so

i've read the rules, there's nothing on them about locally cosmetically changing your characters appearance (see: casting/run animations etc)

it's like you're arguing that i'm not allowed to change my armani glasses frame to a ck one instead lol

On this server (Nostalrius) is not possible to use race swap (mpq edit with patch-3.mpq) as they detect somehow and you keep dc every 30 sec. I was doing this for a long time on retail and never got any warning or ban, same with ED server. But when Nostalrius started i started playing with my feenix instalation (that had the patch-3.mpq file) and i keep getting dc every minute before i deleted the patch-3.mpq file. I have no problems now but i lost my ud hunter that i was playing so long :-(

Now, using evermorph may be harder to detect and there is a chance you can go with it but i don't wanna risk and get my account banned. As i said, i was only using basic race swap (since 2006) but here it's not working.
