Nor why you think its acceptable to allow a transfer for a "beta character" and not a transfer from a different blizzlike private server. Again, its going to hard to say this server is blizzlike if its going to allow beta transfers.

I never said that btw. It's just like realm transfers on retail (yay blizzlike), and I'm not against it. Nobody uses this anyway, but if it does bring players it's fine in my book. So what if they have better gear? I can't care less, as long as I have people to play with and against it's cool.

Its not like realm transfers on retail. The "beta testers" are not going through the same timeline progression we are going through. Its like if blizzard made an easier server then allowed them to transfer over to regular servers.

The FAQ doesn't clarify that they will be imported in common gear. What you fail to realize is new players are going to see the current FAQ and have doubts when it comes the the imported characters. It should be clarified before launch. Because of now it could be read: That once AQ gets released a flood of 60s in full T2 will randomly appear on the server.

They will appear in common gear because they will be potentialy reimplented when everyone will be in T2
And potentialy because there will be a vote, and you can just say no if you aren't happy.

Btw there weren't many full T2 people, ask Phoenix how many of them were, because they are the only one who cleaned BWL (I think)

Given that, it's why I am a bit reluctant about having people who do not know what they are talking about to vote on this issue. Indeed it would be great if the faq clarified this point a bit more but as it says it is still very early to discuss it. Anyway, don't expect a flood of players as the server always suffered from low population and there is not that much T2 floating around, except some pants and helms, as always. As Shaggoth said, maybe half a dozen players did reach full T2 gear, including an anonymous priest, who was later banned but that's another story.

Also you may consider that by the time AQ gets released (which may very well be when the vote will happen), we may be back to a somewhat low population (I sure hope not, of course) but maybe then, trying to get a few experienced raiders back on the server won't sound like the worst idea one ever had.

We were indeed no more than 6 phoenix in full T2 gear, we also were the only ones killing that kind nefarian guy. So the "full t2 everywhere popping around" argument is pointless.
