Mining Copper - Is it supposed to take this long?

First off, you can tank any dungeon as arms with a 1H and shield. Going prot before 60 is just a bad idea since you will do so little damage.

Second, I think you need to look in the kobold mines. I'm horde so I don't know for sure but usually caves have plenty of ore. Also don't farm during peak hours.

Everybody levels in human areas, whatever the race they are. Try checking in nelf or dwarf areas.

You must not have read my post. I level all of my characters in Nelf areas.

Also I have played at all times. I believe that peak times on this server are during the evening for Western Europe. I live in an Eastern Standard time zone. So a lot of the time that I play is late night, and likely after most of Europe is logged off.

Concerning BS being a complete waste of time because quest rewards are better, I will not argue with anyone about this. It very well may be so, however, I would still like to be able to level the profession as I level.

And besides all of this, fact is that I still have only come across 3 copper nodes to mine, across all of my low level characters that I have played so far.

That is not right at all, and is at the root of this entire forum threads concern.

Hello. A fellow miner/blacksmith here.
Right now I'm a warrior in mid lvl 20's, playing in Alliances side.
I disagree with people, that mining veins are too few etc., because my bank is filled with bars and stones and I'm making some profit from crafted stuff. For example, yesterday, while questing, I mined about 15+ veins in 1.5 hours!
