Blizzard knew about it for years, Group Que AV even became very popular near the end. It was and is still used to this day in retail. People may have thought once upon a time it was, but obviously it was not.

You can queue premade AV with /script JoinBattlefield(0,1).

Maitoz just got banned for one week for basically using LazyPig, an addon 90% of the population uses, which basically just presses /script JoinBattlefield(0,1) into the chat for you.

This is entirely the developers fault for not blocking this function for Alterac Valley, where even Feenix fixed this.
More importantly, why was he not asked to stop, instead instantly getting banned?

It's the same BS when my spy account got banned, GMs not having basic understanding of the server code and what addons are able to do, banning me for "botting" when all i did was to use an addon which the admins themselves didnt see an issue with! (yes, we had a long pm convo about it.).

someone NEEDS to take charge of the GMs and educate them or replace them all, this is not acceptable.

EDIT: people arguing that the script lays under that forum subcategory, people still wasnt banned for it, blizzard fixed it and that was that. GMs needs to stop to do kneejerk reactions and go berserk on banning when they dont even understand the issue.

Seems odd to ban someone and threaten sanctions against people for doing something that was apparently done legitimately on live.

Communication between players and the devs is terrible, people aren't psychic they can't guess what you're going to allow and what you randomly aren't.
