Because that's like admitting that your current game is shit. It would also hurt their bottom line considering that new players might think that it's the current version of the game, and be put off by it.

There is literally no reason for them to do it. Nothing to be gained, only lost.

thats not true at all if they did that many olayers would be able to play for months. now the end game content in retail is jsut 1 evening word of raids.

and its very easy to flag them as old content server. they got the data. so they only would need to turn some low population servers into old content. nothing to be lost. many many thousanths players to be gained back.

Why are you shocked? Blizzard doesn't want people making money off of their content its bound to happen and its why the server got shutdown in the first place

None of us have sub buttons. We make no money short of donations, which I don't advertize at all on stream.

I was in your same position 3 months ago. Same situation minus the merging.

You were streaming just fine. What was the recourse? Just stop for a bit, then start again?

Yea the non-monetized streams are not a violation of fair use and thus cease and desist hold no grounds here. Now donations might be a gray area, but I know many of us don't have those even.

BTW, it might just be them kicking people off the World of Warcraft channel. Currently streaming under the Nostalrius game tag, there anyway the site admins for nos could feed from that channel so we have a unified place to host from? The current Twitch tab only pull from the World of Warcraft channel it looks like.

These bans are pretty lame, should be able to cite that fair use act like we used to have to do on YouTube to keep music in our videos. Not sure if there is a recourse like that here.

I've streamed for soon 4 hours now and still online, so guess I started just after their banwave. Still it's sad that Twitch/Blizzard do this.

Was thinking for a sec that GamesCon is next week that they took em down because for some teasing!

.........j/k blizzard will never do old-expac servers
