DM East is Destroying the Economy

er...thats DM north. In Dm east a paladin can concencrate 4 groups of weak mobs. By the end of doing it 5 times (until lock out) I usually make about 8-16g in greys and 1-2 greens. Thats my hourly rate. Plus the 4-5g I make off of putting the herbs on the AH. For a total of a whopping 14-26g per hour. Wow so much gold.

Yup, that's about what I get as a priest.

Usually around 25g total, occasionally you get lucky drops with the greys and do 30g in an hour but just as often you get only ~15g.

You should be able to pull similar numbers as a rogue or warrior just farming mobs in EPL/Silithus/Winterspring

Warriors can farm flower packs same as mages minus one pack. I have about 200 runs in and came to the conclusion I could farm more gold doing other things. 20-30g an hour is pretty lack luster and that's really all you can maintain with dungeon lockouts. There is absolutely no reason to change dm east, anyone who has actually farmed it will tell you it's ok at best (very rng based) and certainly not breaking the economy.

The only real benefit of farming dme is it's guaranteed easy farming with no pvp.

And yes I've farmed on mage aswell....

In any game where you can vend items to npcs for gold there will be inflation because you are creating this gold out of thin air. The game itself has some gold sink measures to slow this inflation but there's no way to stop it completely.

If I were you guys I wouldn't worry about how dme will "ruin" the economy. Wait for a few months when black lotus are 200g+ a piece because of supply being so horribly short of demand. That's the real issue this server's economy has.

They can make 50-60g per hour farming plants in DM East(mostly through vendor) now lets say you are a chinese gold farmer and you decide to scale it up so you use 3 mages.

5 runs = 15-20 minutes
5 runs = 50-60g
15 runs = 45-60 minutes
15 runs = 150-180g

70-80% of that gold is from vendor loot. How is this acceptable if DM north tribute farming isn't?

The fact that he has to use the argument that anyone can just level up 3 characters to wreck the economy by farming lashers is pretty far-fetched and illogical.
