This is correct..It was bugged inretail the tool tip always said ranged only, it was low on the list of things to fix which is why they removed it but if you had one you still got to use it. Nos is choosing not to use bugged, which is the correct choice.

It is not the correct choice because that is not how it worked on Blizzard servers. This is a Blizzlike server and therefore all aspects of it should be as close to Blizzard servers as possible.

Depends how you look at it.

One might claim that until 1.8, +Hit couldn't counteract the 19% Miss Penalty of Players dual-wielding. Which means the Accurascope was pretty much a waste for every Rogue / Warrior until 1.8, it's only between 1.8 & 1.10 that it became useful.

Since we're in 1.12 regarding +Hit & Miss Penalty, actually letting the Scope affect melee weapons wouldn't make sense at all atm on Nostalrius, because on retail it was useless until 1.8, and it wouldn't be here.

Only content is being backpatched, not mechanics. That is exactly what the Nostalrius staff have said.

This is a bad argument anyway because then you should also delete all the hit gear that warriors are using to be viable dps at all, since they "shouldn't" get any benefit from it.
