Difficulty and level of competition have never been the same thing.

Retail - a.k.a easy mode - would refer to mobs which have 3 abilities and take 40 seconds to kill as trash, not bosses. Just a little perspective.

I think it only becomes a "subject" when someone claims it is not easy because you can do speed runs. Thing is, the addition of speed runs and competition does nothing to the actual difficulty level of the content.

Anyone that tries to argue that vanilla raiding is difficult is delusional, that being said I find it enjoyable to try and do raids as fast as possible, if only to trying to improve yourself and the raid overall.

Only if it was not privacy servers scripted . In fact retail was different story.

Lets switch context for the purpose of displaying how ridiculous your first post's claim is.
Running isn't hard. Beating Usain Bolt is.

Except for beating Usain Bolt, you would become rich and famous.
For doing a 40 minute MC run, you would get nothing, as literally 0.1% of the players care who can clear what faster.

I disagree. They gain enjoyment out of something that is typically very easy and can become boring very fast. It's a challenge that others can't accomplish because of countless variables.

Nonetheless, the % of raiders who care is much higher than that. Best to speak for yourself.
