IS MC and BWL BLIZZLIKE?

Most gear, preraid blues are better than T1 gear. I am MT of a bwl raiding guild and still use 7 blues (counting cloak, trinket, sield, neck) and epic world drop alcorz, yet I have 8/8 T1. Before all FR gear was gotten, tanks went to UBRS after killing domo to get 86 FR buff before rag.

Just cause gear is purple, dont make it best.

Do this, start or join a new guild in MC and not one that has everything on farm. Most fights are positioning, few are reaction based, and mainly for tanks, heals, hunters. Only gear check in MC is Rag for 2 tanks.

Val is a DPS check, but that is from talents/rotation. Broodlord is tank def capped gear check. Firemal -positioning, ebonroc, tank.cordination, flamegor hunter response time.

Chromag is your raid gear check, and reaction, positioning all in one.

If anything BWL is harder on this server then in vanilla. Broodlord does a few thousand more damage with Mortal Strike and Shadowflame beeing unresistable.

you do not necessarily have to be fire resi capped

tanks should have some though and also should have a good amount of HP but ragnaros in the end isn't too difficult (can always throw in hunter pets, ice blocking mages or melees if the tank dies)

yeah, iirc the tanks had to be capped for Rag, otherwise they got oneshotted.

Somebody comfirmed that trash mobs and bosses aren't the same as in blizz vanilla and you're fine with lower fire res on Nost. So, no surprise everything is cleared so fast. What do you say? Anybody experienced MC in first months of WoW 10 years ago and seeing differences here?

Not quite. We didn't have time to gear up, once we had enough 60s we went in. People had spent so much time grinding Hydraxxian rep and herbing that most people were still in greens, a lot in level 20 gear.

Maybe it's the 1.12.1 spells and abilities, would be very interesting if Nos or someone else did a true Blizzlike timeline including those things.

Golden thread right there. 10+ years old game and you expect everyone to still suck at it.

Keep in mind "the best guilds back then" had no prior knowledge of the raids and bosses mechanics while we now have an enormous amount of information regarding how everything in this game, especially raids, work.

Other than that and to answer your question, yes MC & BWL aim to be as blizzlike as possible here.

The best way would be for people here to not read guides but rather discover bosses and come up with strategies on their own.
