Like many, I won't play on the new server simply because I'm already here. When you already have a row of 60s or even 1 decent 60; there's no reason to start over just to drop PvP. There's no transfers to the new server you see, thus it isn't even going to dent our already established population. It's mainly going to attract rerolls who weren't 60 already(hardly a loss), and new players that weren't even here yet. It might attract some "FIRST WANK WANK" elitists, but again, that's not what I'd call a loss.
We'll actually see an increase in performance as opposed to the daily lagg that plagues the server thanks to being over populated. In other words, I'd love to make "more" people go over there as opposed to flooding in here. It's a fertile field with room. Ours is an overcrowded city. It's just a shame I won't be among them as I have too much invested here already to just dump it all and start over with nothing. Go ahead and steal my names on PvE; I couldn't care less.
One thing I'll envy the new server for is the ease of farming. Our ability to farm anything effectively here has died a long time ago, with anything in the game being fought or tag warred over. This means you'll probably get something less valuable to farm that's hardly worth the time in the first place(hence why everyone else isn't doing it). It's quite difficult to farm on this crowded server. The fresh server will have it so much easier for quite a while, maybe forever if it never gets to our population. This is also without the world ganking while you quest.
