Fwiw, the guaranteed 2 gloves per instance thing is a wowwiki myth. You can find lots of examples of guilds getting 0 gloves, 1 glove, 3 gloves in a single run.

What's really unblizzlike is that drakes aren't guaranteed to drop 1 shared item and 1 drake-specific item, meaning they can drop 2x loots from the shared drake loot table (ie Firemaw dropping T2 gloves and Rejuvenating Gem), and 2x loots from their own loot pool (ie Flamegor dropping both Styleens and Circle of Applied Force). That shouldn't happen, it leads to really dumb things like Ebonroc dropping 2x DFTs or any drake dropping 2x Rejuvenating Gem.
