Unfortunately there are some DKP purist that believe that all loot is free rein as long as you have the DKP for it.

With that kind of attitude it's clear they are more about the loot rather than progression or teamwork. People have different reasons for playing the game.
DKP should be a means to an end, not the main reason for playing, imo.

On vanilla servers, the two most popular systems are DKP and loot council. Both have their pros and cons, and as always, it's the player's responsibility to choose what works best for them. I've been in guilds that had a corrupt council before, and I left those guilds. I've been in guilds that mishandled DKP before, and I left those guilds. However, both have the potential to be excellent loot systems, in the right hands. I have no preference between the two, as it's not about the system--it's about the people behind the system.
