I'm a level 31 and one of the biggest things I was looking forward to was leveling engineering. It's a ton of fun to use the bombs and low level gadgets.
My first and last experience with mining was level 25 in Redridge where I mined 3 copper nodes after a server reset.
I've managed to get my mining up to 55 through smelting, and my engineering to 75 by buying singles on the AH that aren't overpriced by market farmers. These numbers in no way reflect my current point in the game and I'm steeply behind should this ever be fixed.
How overpriced you may ask?
- Copper Ore 2g/stack
- Copper Bars are 2-3g for a half-stack
- Rough stone is 2g/stack.
Considering I have to spend my money on abilities, these prices are exclusively meant for level 50+ who already have mount and can farm this money. Being an alliance low level your essentially forced to be Leatherworking/Skinning or Tailoring if you want to actively "sidequest" for some character development.
It's a really big deal to me because leveling in vanilla blows. Having something to do on the side really makes it a great experience. I hope they will eventually agree to rapid spawn nodes (atleast the low levels!) to flood the market so that people can catch up.
Exactly, the sort-of solution that the lowbies in my guild have found is to ask to simply use deadmines as a grinding point, steal items from Tirisfal/Silverpine, or use the sole Alliance territory area with working nodes: Darkshore.
If you are currently without some high levels to throw a hand, your option is exclusively Darkshore.

Another thing that is bugged and I'd like to point out, are fishing schools. I just ran the entire shore of Baradin Bay, and found a grand total of 3 firefin snapper schools, when weeks ago, it also had oily blackmouths and wreckages. I hear the same has happened with Westfall schools.

On a final note: Today's server restart achieved nothing. The veins spawn, and after the first mining, never reappear again. Gj on fix.
Why even have the bugtracker at all? I checked it today, for almost a month now, the only work being done is to the ZG PTR server, which I guess is the numbah one concern of the entire server. Had gotten almost used to the idea you guys will not do jack about the dungeon, world event, or class bugs, but neglecting even mineral/herbing/fishing nodes in favour of the ADHD of raiding guilds is really something else.
