The population is not cause of DC's
I dont think the server is crashing, just booting certain regions(?) off. Either in game bug causing crash or issue with the actual servers kicking certain people off.
idk

PLS FIX THO SICK OF GETTING DC'D THEN GETTING DESERTER
Time and space, it's a crossroad through a gate, where do you go?

I played during this weekend and I had almost no problems at all. Got disconected few times and there was ONE TIME (it lasted for about 6 minutes) in which I felt some lag.

In my opinion, the server is completly playable in PvP.

I haven't had much problems with disconnecting, but there definetly is some delay going on.

I started a new character here not long ago, coming from Kronos, wich was no delay at all. So my connection is not the problem. I live in the northern EU if that should matter, and my ping is 46.

I don't think people who say they are experiencing no lag at all, are not being completely honest.

It doesn't have to be the case. I can play sometimes without millisecond of delay and than 10mins after that it strikes damn hard and just crashes the server.

Maybe they are just lucky to avoid it.

I dare you to go and play bgs now without 2 seconds delay.
/cast Stealth
2 seconds later you hear sound

Is this bound to happen ALWAYS, EVERYTIME we reach 7k ppl online?

Hi,

Thanks to the efforts made by the development team these last months, we managed to drastically reduce the lags from the game.
We did this by isolating complete systems from others (ie you can have only one map / one instance / one area having lag, it won't affect the whole system).
Thus, we need more information when you want to report a lag.

Please provide :
- the server time when it happened
- how long did it last
- what was the delay like (0.5 second ? 5 seconds ? ...)
- what action was affected by the lag (specific spell, mailbox, chat ...)
- where did you notified it ? In a battleground, in a specific area ?
- where you are living (country)

Note: if you have lags in continents AND in battlegrounds / instances, you should check your network connection.
Sometimes, using a VPN can reduce your latency if your ISP is responsable for the lag.

Hi Daemon

Personally for me the lag occurs every time the server reaches a 6000-6500+ online population. It's extremely noticeable during Wednesday / Sunday raids when the amount of people online is 7000-8000, AND at the EU pike time raids, where many guilds are inside BWL and MC at the same time. For me the delay can be up to 1.5 - 2 seconds on everything that I press durng these raids - battlegrounds as well. Playing from Denmark.

When I was raiding in a US guild with 4000-5000 people online during EU night times (2 AM to 4 AM GMT+1) there was no delay at all.

Below 6000 people online at the same time, the delay is almost gone and it's possible to play flawlessly again, making it better and better the more people log off and less people online at the same time.

I have raided on the PTR multiple times with 0.0001 delay, just to make it clear that it is not my internet (lots of people are expercing this) - been able to raid, and play, flawlessly on other private servers for years until Nostalrius. Also the PvE server is flawless as well. It's the 3x times amount of people online than Vanilla had there's causing this problem.

Thanks for response Daemon, much appreciated!

Yes, your recent efforts are already having good effect.
I posted, not long ago, that in past 2-3 days I'm having lagg-free gameplay.
I gotta admit, there was never 7,4k ppl online during those days.

Today I felt at least 2 seconds delay in my stealth casting and opening shots when population reached 7k people. I was in wsg. I'm from Bosnia and almost all the time I have less than 60ms here on Nost, which is BEST ms I ever had on ANY private server. That's the reason why I get kinda "pissed off" about these laggs, having amazing ms and yet laggy.

Again, thanks for response and keep up the good work!

I also need to know where you where when you noticed the lag (which area ingame, battleground ...).
I really need detailed description with the answers to all these questions:
- the server time when it happened
- how long did it last
- what was the delay like (0.5 second ? 5 seconds ? ...)
- what action was affected by the lag (specific spell, mailbox, chat ...)
- where did you notified it ? In a battleground, in a specific area ?
- where you are living (country)

I'll use a normal Wednesday and Sunday as an example for all the questions.

- From around 3-4 PM GMT+1 (Server time) until 11 PM GMT+1 - when more people start to log in it kicks in, when people start logging off again, it slowly goes away.

- The delay is about from 1 - 2 seconds. It seems to be worse in an area / instance with a lot of people in, i.e Battlegrounds, Blackwing Lair and Molten Core during resets on a Wednesday, though it's still everywhere. Open world too (open world is rough during Sundays the entire day from 2 PM GMT+1 until 00:00 AM GMT+1.

- Every single action is affected by the lag. Aimed Shot, Multi-Shot, the time inbetween the Auto shots, Potions, talking to a Flight path, mounting up, mobs being too fast and almost semi teleport hacking up to you, chat, mailbox, everything.

- It's being noticed everywhere, BUT it gets worse in Battlegrounds and raids, no matter which.

- Living in Denmark.

Thank you for your responses :)
