A very complicated Java code to merge them and that's it. Problem is , if you don't know how to do that , professionals coders charge a lot of money for this. So basically it all comes down to money. In this rhythm server will collapse unders it's own success in max 6 months ....because let's be honest , the server population will only increase!
Hahaha, what. If you don't know anything about coding, this game, or running about a private server don't say its "rather simple" and then act like you know what you are talking about. If it was this easy it would of already been done. All of the developers that are working on this are qualified to be professional coders or already are, you think they pick random people to develop it?
Also, WoW is written in C++, not java. Secondly, this seems simple in theory, but the core this is running on (MaNGOS) does not have capabilities to host each continent on a different server. They would have to completely restructure their emulator/core and that takes a lot of time, effort, and money because you would have to recode everything from scratch.
