Unless these people, like me, hit cap at launch and never had to deal with a ?? ganking us while we leveled - not that it was all roses by any means.
But for the people who have not leveled since launch, you likely do not understand how severe the problem is. When I leveled my first character, there was a metric fuckton of people, but no bored 60s ganking zones. Or bored 60s helping their bitch-baby friends who can't 1v1.
Tonight, over 2 hours, I was killed by 5 random passing 50-60s.
And camped by 3 separate 60s that were either alts or guildies of characters my level that I was mercing while leveling. They both camped me for 15+minutes (not that bad by most standards). It's part of the game, I get it.
[All while a raid of 60s from my faction sat in the town 30 seconds away, but didn't want to get involved because they had world buffs. kek]
It is absolutely harder, slower, and more frustrating to level now than it was at launch.
I understand it's hard for many people to empathize, but I figure it's worth a shot to at least lay out the rational argument.
Of course, the overwhelming reality here is: Nothing can be done about it. People are always going to be nasty when granted power & anonymity. But that doesn't mean you can't at least express sympathy for the people leveling up their first character on the server. They're here for the same reasons you are, to experience Vanilla WoW in all its glory.
