Everyone I know that parrots that has never played UO pre tram and just knows it as a buzzphrase to get some sort of e-cred with the pvp crowd (which sure as fuck doesn't play here)

Well it was pretty damn tough for non-PvP oriented people before Trammel came around. Not much skills required for 99% of combat though. Just get naked on a horse and swing the halberd for maximum damage and not having to worry about dying. Use a botting-macro to get grandmaster skills over a weekend and that's it. Proper PvP was sadly very much lacking there.

In any case, to OP, you can always reroll to the PvE realm or call for help from your friends and guildies or form an ad hoc anti-gank squad with fellow questers in that zone or even move to another zone to quest for a while.
