I figured it was an end to some of the silithus quests we did while leveling added in just before AQ to get some NR going.

This is different from the herbs bug, theres a large number of players who would not think this was an unintentional bug, myself included.

Pretty shitty of these guys to demand you correct a small mistake on their end but not reimburse you for that trouble. While my warrior and hunter lost nothing as I hadn't enchanted them yet, im not too happy about losing the gloves for my priest and mage as I sold the gloves they replaced.

A moment of silence for the people who put the NR enchant on their leggings in prep for AQ and just lost like 70g of materials

This is normal, look:

Private server has lots of bugs, if they say "oops our fault, we will fix it chill, and since it was our fault no bans will be issued" people feel like they can abuse, or at least benefit in some way from bugs. And people will then actually look for bugs to abuse and it's unfair to majority.

If they have a stance "abuse bugs however minor for benefit, we will ban you", people try to avoid abusing bugs.

Doesnt mean they actually will BAN or go hard on stuff like this. Likely just scare people. It would kill community if bans were actually issued for minor stuff. BUT the stance MUST be "dont abuse any bug even if its our fault or consequences"

Makes sense no?

2 of those and you're most likely perma banned

please note that "major bug abuse" is not meant as a major abuse of any bug but any abuse of a major bug.

the GMs are not allowed to judge whether or not an abuse was "major" but only if it occured. and if the bug in question was a major one, you're fucked.

in the herbgate ppl got banned whether they "abused" 5 herbs or 500. as the bug itself was major.

to be perfectly honest, i logged on the ptr and the quest was in the same state as now on live (instantly completed). since i played vanilla i had it in my head that something big needed to be completed, so i figured that maybe this was just meant so ppl could test the NR leggings on the ptr.

when i logged on live i just accepted/turned in all quests in silithus and ended up with the leggings again. of course i was aware that this was not supposed to be like this but then again how am i supposed to react like this? i mean it's not like i can un-complete a quest and give the leggings/gloves back, right? and since i need them for aq40 i am not just gonna destroy them on a hunch.

then the horrible in game support. they tell you you're not supposed to report bugs in tickets but use the bugtracker. seriously i cba to create an accoount for the bugtracker just to tell them that the quest is bugged. i also cba to wait 8 hours (the last ticket i wrote took that long) for a GM reply.

i deleted them now, as the system message guaranteed i would be refunded.

tl;dr
leggings deleted
don't turn your problems into mine
get rid of 5k chinese so we get GM tickets served under 8 hours

Btw i didnt get system message nor noticed twitter/forum. Just someone told me that people cant do some quest.

Are there any threads or reports of people vendoring or disenchanting that shit or something and getting banned ?

If no, then its just meant to scare people.

If yes then i have no words.
