General unpleasantness?

I'm just tired of people complaining about every little thing so I act with hostility towards those crying about little details or when they don't get their way, or if someone is just plain stupid. I learned on Day 1 of this server that there were a lot of trolls and people that I simply dislike so I give little sympathy to others.

Name one example of a little thing? Most things people post about are HUGE to the future of this server.

It's what happens when people come different servers and expect the same game play as those servers here. Not trying to be a fanboy, but don't expect the same as where you came from because this server is different.

EDIT: Also, I believe that this will always happen in the private server scene because there is no set standard appart from what was vanilla years ago. People are used to variations of vanilla wow (custom content). As someone mentioned in some other post on the forum, once nostalgia fades away, some people will realize that vanilla truly did have some very inconvenient aspects of gameplay that were fixed in later expansions. I think the general unpleasantness ultimately stems from this basic fact.

Do you see this? He never quoted you, he never named you, he never did anything to make you assume he was talking to/about you.

The amount of threads lead me to believe at least a few people on this server think otherwise, but I digress.

You do your part by reporting bugs there or ingame, not making threads and posts on the wrong board.

It's funny because his post still wasn't directed at anyone, nor did it judge anyone or say anything special about EVERYONE Who comes from another server.

So you sit on your hands and do nothing because "they didn't tell you to?" Take initiative then, its really not that hard. Also the developer's have been posting weekly updates/patchnotes under the Announcements board. I'd say global announcements when the server gets extremely laggy/something goes awry (re: The Hattening) is communication.
