I would like a bit more explanation to this statement. I guess it means I will be set back to rank 3 next week. But if I get to lvl 38 before then would I keep my rank?

Calm down nerd. The devs are putting in a lot of effort. There's a developer comment on the second page stating that they're fixing it ASAP.

Here's what I understood from Daemon's post :

People that have a rank higher than what they should have will be brought back to the highest possible rank for the level before the next maintenance. Could be tomorrow, could be today, whatever. Which means your level at the moment of the fix will impact the maximum rank you're entitled to.

And next Wednesday the PvP update will take place normally.

So if you reach the appropriate level before the fix that could happen anytime you'll keep your rank, but if you don't, you'll lose it. It's not unfair at all to me as you shouldn't have been able to get that rank in the first place.

I partly agree, I'm not very upset either or something as I just enjoyed my pvp time. But what is not taken into account here is that I noticed there was no lvl limitation (and until a later time when I read it here on the forum I did not know there was supposed to be one) and that made me spent some extra time in wsg to get a higher rank. If this information about the change had been made public sooner then I would have known rank hunting was not useful at this point and might have made different decisions (such as not spending 12g on twink gear).

I don't think this kinda of matter should be taken into account by the staff, otherwise any one could be asking something they claimed to have done "only because the staff didn't tell us soon enough" something. It might be a very little unfair sometimes, but it's for the best.

Developers removed the rep items from shop and said they will be added with the AV patch in 2.5 months from server launch.
