If you get reported for 'afking' once, you get a warning. Second time and you're permanently banned. Do people actually agree with this. If you do/don't, why?

It's a question because the GM's obviously have some motive as to why they're doing it. Possibly it was a small community concern and they're taking it overboard? Idk.

I didn't make this to justify anything, I'm just curious why it's a thing because as far as we know now, anyone could take a random screenshot of a person legitimately defending and possibly have that person permanently banned.

The only thing I can think of is that they are getting so many reports that it is a waste of their time to rifle through them all and catalog how many instances a player has or hasn't been AFKing. They are pretty keen on not having their staff members' time wasted so WHAPOW perma ban after 1 warning.

afking was never an issue until welfare epics came in the patch right before BC letting ppl get GM gear for honour or marks I think

Before then, IE during real 1.4-1.12 it was useless to do

However on this server, with enough afking and regular playing a person could get a real advantage.

I once again applaud the moderation for acting so swiftly on this, and hope all those who are warned realize this isn't something you fool around with.

Afking is going to mean persistent avoidance of the automated afk feature to exploit honour.

IE, standing in a corner for 10+ minutes with multiple screen shots showing no deaths or kills is the kind of evidence required. Defending the flag is never going to get you banned.

It's the same effect. You are not contributing to the team effort, ergo: fucking over your team mates.

Still I would like to hear how GM's separate losers like you from people who have just gone to the toilet or answer the door or something.
