I also agree that a permaban is a bit much. I don't afk in BGs, but a 2 week ban would be plenty.

Remember, this is vanilla. A 2 week ban can bring you down multiple ranks eventually, and should be a suitable deterrent.

These guys are not comprehending the Sanction E. You won't get permaban for your first offense, just a 3 day ban at most which if you ad a legit reason (going to get a drink, phone call, etc) and had proof, I am sure the ban would be lifted and your account wouldn't have the mark on it. Nowhere in the ToU does it say a Sanction E would be turned into a permaban if you didn't respond to a GM saying hello. You not responding would result in the Sanction E of 3 day ban. Let these people who cannot comprehend English or the ToU to keep crying.

Banning for AFKing in BGs is TOTALLY absurd as it is, to me, it seems that the bad roots are ruining it for the good ones and the GMs are getting totally lost in controlling the tides.

Yes, players won't afk, so they won't have an issue with this O.o the rule pertains to afk bots that will just hide in a corner and tap jump every minute or two to keep the afk tag from popping. I have not seen a ban appeal thread yet about this so why is everyone getting all butthurt before we know what would happen?

if someone was banned for doing X, it stands to reason that X is probably a subset of the category things that you can be banned for. when the entire discussion in which this experience was related is premised on the idea that X was not a bannable offense, I think this information might be relevant.
