For now, level limit has been reduced to level 3 (from level 10).
So character needs to be at least level 3 to use public channels, or the world channel.

This parameter can be adjusted. Goal is to have an experience in game as nice as possible without toxing advertisers all along the way.

Thanks a bunch for this change :) The world feels not so lonely again.

Speaking of buying gold, I suggest you don't do it, because if you're banned for this, the site used will probably keep your money. Do not mention any of their sites on the forum or within the game, because a), using these is prohibited, and b), you're just giving them more free advertisement. Like a real economy, you're supposed to work for gold. You do not buy money with money in real life, thus you should not buy gold with money in a game.

You sound extremely paranoid.

Blizzard had to deal with this on a MUCH bigger scale, and they never took these measures. You guys are becoming like Feenix. Stop it. I haven't seen this on any private servers either.

Level 10 completely kills chat in Durotar, Dun Morough, Tel Drassil, Elwynn Forest, and Mulgore. The realm is filled with life, and you're suppressing it. Do you really want your crusade against gold trading which so few people on the realm partake in to affect the playerbase so adversely?

This crusade is pointless. Everyone knows where to go to buy gold, and find sellers. Everyone knows gold selling/buying exists. Anyone can ask another person if they're truly unaware. If the demand exists, it will be met.

I really think you need to stop this Kraft. You're stealing from the life of the realm. I logged into Elwynn Forest yesterday to see it buzzing with activity, people chatting in general, and LFM for hogger and Princess Must Die, things like that, looking for groups to level with in general. Now this can't happen again.

You're destroying the experience. The first few levels are what give people the biggest impression of it, and for you to tamper with this is insane. If you could restrict /trade and /general-Orgrimmar and /general-Ironforge to level 10s, that might be a bit more sensible, but what you've done isn't right.

I hope this is changed fast before the damage is felt.

im fairly certain that an hour and a half to two hours of your life with no internet socialization can be achieved... if it cant.. i hear reddit is a nice place to socialize about jack shit and spam useless racism and religious beliefes

Blizzard also had a ton of money and a huge staff of paid GMs to deal with the issue.

That said, level 10 does seem a bit high. Nost staff probably has metrics on average/median time played to get to a level; I personally think whatever the median level is after 1.5 hours of playtime is sufficient.

I wonder if it'd be possible to raise this level, but make it account-wide, as in, if you have one level 10 character on your account, you can enter chat channels on level 1 alts or whatever.

LIKE a real, but it is not. Some people don't have the time to play 8 hours per day. Gold buying / selling is prohibited on Nostalrius, but so is piracy and copyright theft in the REAL WORLD, and i don't know who gives you the right to make a copy of Blizzard's game, for whatever purpose. Imagine a RW ban wave hits you like the ones you are sending on Nosta traders.

Completely fallacious point. You don't need to play 8 hours per day to get to 60 or to get enough money for a mount or to raid or to play battlegrounds or whatever.
