Just keep it in mind, there is no such thing as bad press. If they feel the need to talk down about Nostalrius that's up to them, but all of the people who are undecided, and they are the silent majority, will play on both servers and make up their mind. If both servers survive the constant DDOS, then whoever has higher quality gameplay wins out. The population will dwindle on whichever server doesn't deliver.

I think Nos'll be fine when it comes to DDOS. It has the same host as Feenix, and is hosted in a first world country.

DrunkenEnvy wrote:They sound pretty pathetic, especially this Filvorja member of Kronos' staff. They've been really unprofessional by openly insulting, and attempting to trample on Nos' image in their posts beginning yesterday.

I'm positive they intend to host an open beta for no purpose other than publicity (because they don't have devs).

I've been dying to test Kronos out and see how they are coming along, but Nos has been fortunate enough to host open beta test sessions. the test sessions alone showed more than silly progress bar on a forum or forum posts.

regardless though, I want both servers to thrive because the current servers out now need to go home. (feenix/vengeance/Rebirth/Valkyrie)

time for a new era of vanilla private servers. :)

But, did you notice that - behind all of his kindness and smileys - he came to our promotional video, seen by thousands of people, and used it to mention Kronos (without anyone asking him to), and then mentioned Kronos 2 more times in subsequent replies? Just some food for thought...

Who cares. Everyone knows about Kronos. It isn't even a threat. This place will have a population.

No fighting. No DDOS-ing. To each his own and let each other be.

Ah, good old altruism on the internet. Your comment makes me wish for faith in humanity, alas, I have seen what the internet is capable of. Just visit 4chan....

I hope we have a smooth launch, but if we do launch before Kronos, there will be fanboys who don't check out Nos, but instead start a DDoS. When that fails, they will most likely join the server and see the greatness, completely ignore it, and start spamming global chat with Kronos info.

I hope our community here is better than that, but I have a feeling some will go to Kronos and do the same thing.
