Students/Busy people and Nostalrius

Heya (:
Im a med student and can afford only few hours weekly to play here, was wondering if in your opinion:
1) is there any point of playinig if i could only play, say, 6-7 hours a week? (usually friday only)
2) are there any other people here like me who can HARDLY play? if so, whats your plan?
3) tips for being efficient in WoW

1. Of course there's a point in playing as long as you enjoy the game itself.
2. Personally my times of playing vary depending on when I have exams and other things that I need to do, so partly I don't play at all but sometimes I play a few (well ranging from 1 to 6) hours per day every day.
3. Tips for being efficient? Play a class that you enjoy playing. To me anyway, it doesn't matter if class X has less downtime if I don't enjoy playing that class cause I'm gonna get bored and just find it to be a pain to continue and that isn't particularly effective.

I also have a fulltime job, girlfriend and my sports. I dont care if people are better or faster than me. I play for the fun and to relax.
Does not matter if I just have 5-10 hours or more a week

I am also going to play rather casual and taking my time to level up. I consider myself a bit noobish at this game becuase I have not played since late 2006, and only cleared Molten Core and Onyxias Lair. It would be great to have some guildmates to chat with, level, clearing some dungeons and do the occasional PvP with

Preferably Alliance , but Horde is ok.

You totally can find a place to play that will suit your schedules!
I can assure you that there will be casual guilds that down content with a rate of speed that will allow you to meet a raids.

Don't let others fool you--Vanilla isn't a place only for the hardcore, it's a place for everyone.

Especially with the level of quality coming from this server, it's NOT an experience you are going to want to miss out on just because you have other priorities ahead of gaming!

This server is not going to die anytime soon; on the contrary it's just in it's infant stage.--in fact it technically hasn't even been born analogically--hope that analogy hits home with you

I would definitely consider spending the time you would now playing getting prepared--few of these things would include:
1. Decide Race/Class/Spec - Find out an ideal that you would like to achieve in terms of playstyle and go for it!

2. Setup Addons/UI - look around at others ui/mods and find some that will help you increase your effectiveness while playing (the vanilla addon guide is very good)

3. Be honest and friendly - When you join the server be you! Don't waste time trying to be something you're not because we're already got tons of people trying to do that; but nobody can be you!

I think this applies to anyone thinking about joining who has other priorities in life but would love to experience Vanilla again! Go for it!

I'm serious, since I've already done it myself.
I've covered all races and classes, even with a 1-1 male/female ratio among the same race, but these are "nerdy" things, so don't even bother if you don't want to xD

Huh thought I was the only one that is going to play casual. I really wish there is a guild that will take casual players, there was WIPE but they moved to Blacklisted, so I am without a guild. 80% of the time I rolled horde but I really wish to play a human mage this time. So if there is a guild where I can play as I intend to please respond. See you all in game

im in the same boat as you. student and a job. my plan is to roll a resto shaman, and pug raids like mc and zg once a week. Basically its really hard to get into pugs as a dps or tank (dps theres a fuckload of them and tanks are usually within guilds) healers however often get added to pugs.

just something to keep in mind if you havnt picked a class yet and would like to get into some group content. shaman or paladin will be highly desirable.

All of you casuals are CRAZY. You're literally wasting your time playing classic WoW, you're just going to get stomped and destroyed by superior NEET gamers. Honestly just play something more casual friendly like retail WoW/Hearthstone/Whatever.
