I wonder how many players there will be at saturday on ED. Seriously, one of the best things about Nostalrius release is, it will totally break the dominance ED have had for years. Will be interesting to see how far and how desperate they are to get people back in.

Probably desperate enough to try DDOS'ing Nostalrius. I'm sure they will try, and I'm sure Nos staff expects it, so it will be a reat test on the mitigation system.

If this server is indeed bug free, there will be no reason for players to keep playing on ED. I tried it. Serveral times. Rage quitted several times too, what an unplayable pile of shit, amazes me how people even get their characters to 60 with most quests barely working.

I watched a vanilla stream the other day, and the guy just started leveling on ED. I mentioned Nos and Kronos, and he sad, that he's well aware of these servers and their quality, but he wants to play on a server that has been online for a long time, because it ensures, that his character won't be lost.

As Szabinger mentioned, the fact that ED is under the Feenix name, a lot of people will play there with bugs simply because they don't want to waste their time. I did the same thing for a while. The Rebirth was a prime example of this putting a salty taste in people's mouths.

People always rant and rave about servers being bug free and perfectly scripted, but at the end of the day, for a lot of players, that doesn't really matter all that much. What people want to see is an active community on a server, fair and just admins, and frequent updates to improve the server in any way they can.

Feenix was one of the best brands for private servers in the past. The admins were some of the best there were. Sadly the reigns have been given to trash as of late, and the servers quality slowly diminishes. As long as Nostalrius does everything right, keeps the server going, gives frequent updates, and doesn't get power hungry, people will flock this way.

In ED you get bored quickly, trust me, and the PvP there is a joke (bugs + low ppl), either you face premade or 5v5 pugs
+ horde side, could barely make 5 mans + ubrs because i used to spend the whole day searching for a tank

All PvP will always endup as premades as it is the most efficient way to farm honor, and honestly the funnest way to play for most.

Also ED usually has 1k people on during prime time, which has been the server cap. Frequently have queues during primetime, population wasn't the issue.

What became the issue on ED is the fact the admins interfered and started policing the server and banning top end raiding guilds therefore destroying the raiding community. Once the competitive side of the community dies, the server starts to die.
