mining or collecting herb only take a few seconds

here, we are talking of someone who spends his whole time fishing instead of fighting in any BGs

i would have ban you for that, the GM has been very kind

hope you get permanban next time

Once again, he wasn't punished for not participating for .0835 seconds, he was punished because the GM witnessed him not participating for extended periods across multiple BGs. I'm pretty sure theres no invisible flying GM waiting to ban the first person who pulls out a fishing rod in a BG, but if you are joining up to multiple BGs to sit around and fish I'm really not sure where one would get the balls to be indignant about getting a warning.

not participating, well...

Dont think its worse than people just spreading over map without any purpose. Just dotting or attacking everything they see, including (sheeps, blinds, saps, etc) . Letting M8 die without healing them even their mana is full. Just leaving bases without defenses and getting pwned in middle of nowhere. Or just get farmed at GY or at start.

i dont judge them, so dont judge me. is just that simple. its a game, not a duty !

you have the whole world to fish dude ... BGs are made for fighting

if the GM warn you, that means that a lot of players reported you because you are doing that everytime in every BG

at least you only got a warning, now do what u want, but dont come crying when u will be permaban

Just quoting this since it's true.

You don't join a bg to not participate in fights and objectives.

He was watched over multiple bg's and did nothing but fish.

But then he won't get free kills and honour.

Stand still, do not do anything fancy. Be quiet and everything will be fine. Even better, just run in middle of nowhere getting pwned by random player , rez and go nobrain back again.

Sounds really exciting.

Thx for remember me how i should play.

If you join a bg, and do not even move at all, I expect you would still get a warning. People will report you if you do nothing at all, then you would get watched, a GM would see you doing nothing at all, then a warning would happen.

Now I fully expect that you are just trolling the forums, if not, you're just stupid and full of confidence.

For that reason, said battles could last an entire day or more, not to mention that the variety of tasks that could be undertaken tended to dilute the number of players actively fighting the other side. The original AV even had gathering nodes and fishing spots! It was not unusual to jump into an AV Battleground at the beginning of your WoW session, spend several hours fighting there, and then log off for the night without any idea of which side might eventually win.

there is even a complete article just about this (created October 4, 2006):

Alterac Valley fishing in danger?

Is it okay to fish in Alterac Valley? I remember when I first started doing AV’s it used to really grind my gears. I just read this blue post on the WoW forums about “AFK Behavior in Battlegrounds.” I agree all those dipshits with anti-afk bots sapping rep and honor blow more ass than Tom Cruise, but the post also mentions “Earning honor without participation goes against the spirit of the battlegrounds” and “Engaging in such activities may result in action taken against your registered World of Warcraft account.” Will Blizzard punish honest fisherman? I’m Exalted with the Frostwolf Clan so I’m certainly not doing it for rep. I do get a very small amount of honor, but that’s not the reason I fish there. The Horde in Thrall’s battlegroup wins AV maybe one-tenth of the time. That’s not very encouraging. A typical AV in which I’m fishing goes like this: I run immediatly to the fishing hole and begin to fish. I’ll (in most cases) kill any Alliance that wander over to my fishing hole. When our defense has been pushed back far enough I’ll take a look at the situation. If it looks like we have a chance in hell of winning I’ll un-equip my rod and throw myself on defense. Like I said, that’s rare. A good majority of the time our offense has made no progress while the enemy offense has already breached our walls. Whether or not I fish at that point makes no difference whatsoever. I will admit though, if Blizzard cracks down on the afk problem and we arent always losing because we have 7 players afk in the cave I would stop fishing. As for right now I can get some good loot from AV fishing and a don’t have to take a 15-minute flight path and run my ass to fishing hole to get it.
