Why are you so excited? I think there are no many players that wants to abandon their characters and start again from 0.

It's not a question of which players on the current NB realm are willing to abandon their characters and start again. It's a question of which players haven't spent a lot of time on NB because of whatever reason (Dislike for PvP, wish to only play PvE realms, etc.) and the possibility of them coming back, rerolling, or rolling alts and playing a lot more frequently due to the allure of a new PvE realm. There's a great deal of players out there who would gladly start new characters and play on NB a lot more but currently don't due to a number of different reasons like dislike for ganking, server overpopulation, etc.

You're going to have existing players that will undoubtedly stick with the current realm and their level 60s. You'll also have existing players that will roll alts on the new realm. Finally there will be a whole new group of players that have never played here before that will start playing from scratch.

People from all over the world play on Nostalrius; somebody's going to get shafted in terms of the time zone difference. Right now the server's poised to go live over the weekend during European evening hours which is also its typical peak hours. They can gauge from the influx of European players how interested people are in a PvE realm and factor in what the interest will be from other regions during non-peak hours.

I stopped playing on Nos because it was becoming increasingly unplayable. When I first started I only had occasional disconnects, but the point when I quit everything was so delayed and the disconnects seemed to be increasing more and more - so I am looking at this PvE server as a fresh start. I would be totally fine with a MUCH small population in return for smoother game play. On top of that, the overpopulation on their main server made gathering professions extremely frustrating, so spreading out the population would help that out a little as well. I just see this as a huge win in every way, I can't speak for anyone else but I am excited for a fresh start. I hope the pve server stays around, because as of right now I physically can't play the game in its current form.

If you want to have any chance of getting server first 60 you'll have to make a hunter.

I always thought mages were faster due to aoe abilities post level 20.
