I mean since Molten Core is the only real raid available I can understand people want to spice things up and make it a bit more competitive by seeing who can set the fastest times.
The fact that Coalition took 3+ tries to beat Dreamstate and NOPEs times from before the AV+Item update and then quickly goes on to make a forum post about it to make it public is hilarious (and kinda sad) though. And then the failed attempt at humour to make it seem less tryhard is just the icing on the cake
