Earlier today I was farming skeletons with a guildie in WPL, we saw a horde shaman and chased that bitch ass nigga through the center ruins in WPL, along we jumped until he landed in a chimney.

Stupidly me and my guildie jumped in after him and stomped his ass, he rezzed and began to laugh at us as we were stuck in the chimney, we then both proceeded to hearth home and never forget the night.

Modern WoW is incapable of the following scenario because of flying mount kiddie bullshit + the fact they would never design a chimney you could get stuck in

Warlords of Draenor just sucked any bit of fun and uniqueness about classes completely out.

The leveling content from 90-100 is pretty good. Rather streamlined but the zones look nice and the phasing is satisfying.

Once you hit 100 there's literally nothing to do since all you do is sit in your garrison and it gives you everything you need without having to leave it.

There's no solo content for a level 100, only poorly made lazy apexis dallies.

PvP is a huge mess and requires a seperate topic.

Raiding is top notch really, apart from having 4 difficulties.

TL;DR If you like leveling and raiding WoD is okay. Other than that, there are many flaws.

my main reason, sense of achievement and welfare epics. back in the day it took WORK and it showed that you were a hardcore raider, AND you could tell from a distance what level of gear someone had, and if it was pvp or raid gear. ALSO pve gear ended up being just as good as pvp gear in the long run for pvp if not better. resilience ruined the pvp aspect of the game for me.

I play vanilla WoW because I actually like a challenge, I like the grind from 1-60, how challenging it is. I love the social aspect of this game also, you have to interact with a lot of people to get stuff done.
Vanilla beats modern WoW completely, modern WoW isnt even the same game WoW used to be anymore, it is so fucking easy, no challenge at all. There is also no social aspect at all. Modern WoW is literally the biggest shithole ever.

My short version... Blizzard has been pumping out crap for a while now. I still have my live account, but after coming to nostalrius it has reminded me of my roots. Given me a place with people who want to play, want a challenge and dont want to be secluded to their own little garrison with raids that you can do in 4 hours... blizzard listen to the 12 year olds cry that the game was too hard and dumbed it down.

The one thing i wish blizzard would do, would be to literally destroy all new content and finish the old.

The other plus.. ITs Free!!! no more spending 15 bucks a month!

Well I didn't play much during vanilla and TBC so I'm hoping to experience it as best as I can. While I don't quite like how grindy vanilla is, I still prefer it to the instant gratification in retail. I've been told that TBC is less grindy and more difficult, so I'm looking forward to when Nostalrius makes a TBC server.

Because the struggle is real. Death in this version of WoW is real. The leveling is some intense shit to get from 1-60 and not something you can instantly jump level or gear up with heirlooms to overcome. You have to work with people in elite quests, instances, and for group quests. The World PvP is alive and booming, there's always something going down wherever I go and I love getting involved in it. The world itself is alive and thriving.

In a nutshell - Nost is a lot more immersive, feels more rewarding & is more social.
