Discussion: GMs supporting extortion & stalking (NEW pics)

Dude, this is a video game, not real life. This is not physical harassment, he has every right to do anything he wants (that isn't against the Terms of Use), and thinking that the GMs are in on this and support "extortion" and stalking is asinine and stupid. I understand you're upset, anyone would be, but you understand that this is an MMO and social interaction is something we have to deal with as players. When you act the way you did to someone (kick them, whisper them and talk crap, ect), and you get retaliation like this, you don't need to come on here, reddit, and every single website you can and talk crap about a guild or the GMS because of the actions of ONE PLAYER.

In a guild and server filled with so many people, do you really think this one player represents one guild or the GM team because camping isn't against the rules? Deal with this ingame, don't come here and start some drama and spew crap about guilds and GMs that are not involved in this. You've blown up these forums and reddit, and with that little montage you have, you put way too much effort here to try and blow up something that is a personal feud.

When an issue like this arises, deal with it yourself. Coming here and slandering a guild and GMs should be against the rules

Thanks for your input. I chose physical harassment because there were two reportable options: verbal or physical. I felt as though physical harassment described this issue better as he expected me and/or my friend to go out of our way--disrupt our real lives--to come online exactly when he wanted to do this for him.

We are also posting this as a last resort. We tried to deal with this ingame for almost 5 days. One GM who communicated with us realistically and kindly advised us to take this issue to the forums and so we did. If you read the entire post, you would see that I noted that. He also said we could force a rules change with enough support. Any GM was left anonymous as we are not trying to slander them.

Also worth noting, I believe, that I chose to keep the offending player anonymous at first--only revealing his name due to player demand and after finding out that it is okay to do. And after Nost and his guild not responding. This was, again if you read and comprehended the original post, supposed to be a discussion on PvP server mechanics and possible fixes or changes to the ToU.

Just some clarification to end this whole ordeal. I talked to Jackprot and told him to stop talking too you. A game master talked to him and told him to stop talking too you. You keep on messaging him trying to get some sort of reaction from him. What he told me is that you kicked him from the group so he couldn't roll for some loot he wanted, so he corpse camped you. He's not going to grief you anymore so it's about time you just let it go and move on with your life. Thanks for your involvement, Amurica. This is appreciated and it is certainly time that JACKPROT has been handled after over 4 days of non-stop camping, stalking, and attempted extortion for favors. Yes, we did kick him from the group--I mentioned this and did not deny it. It was, however, for a justifiable reason (refusing to release/ slowing down instance, threatening us if with ganks if we rolled on his items).

I tried to contact you and spoke to an officer instead who was as rude as I would expect from an associate of JACKPROT's. Regardless of his ganking and threatening behaviors, your guild member did break the Terms of Use by bypassing ignore and exploiting Neutral Zones. Either way, my friend and I who were subject to JACKPROT's absurdly excessive griefing would still like to see a rules change or more commentary from GMs or server admins on this issue.

Additionally, I don't think that trying to reason with him only to be harassed further constitutes "trying to get a reaction from him."

Anyway, thanks again for your time and I appreciate you personally for your efforts and your belief that this should be stopped.

Long before this ThunderCats were known for having numerous toxic players so this whole drama was not surprising at all after the guy in original post revealed the name of toxic player and its funny how other players from such guild come defending it blindly regardless of what happened.

During a classic group in Uldaman, you and your friend, kicked a player out of your group when the last boss died in order to get the loot, something you really enjoyed to do. This action made the player angry for a reason we can easily understand : that's the true story.

Apart from all the lies you said in your main post above about what really happened in Uldaman, what brings me here is the photoshop editing of a conversation you had with the GMs i.e your capabilities of cropping conversation out of context, and the false accusation you imposed against the whole GM team. Hopefully for you, this kind of behavior isn't sanctioned yet by our Terms of use.

This is the best example of why GMs shouldn't interfere with these kinds of issues.
