Don't know about the others but Herbruno the Herbalist usually farms Herbs in AV instead of doing BG objectives with his team so I guess this is his way of actually being "good" and "useful" in PvP. :-)

Did we level on the same server? Felwood, un'goro, blasted lands, wpl & epl were shut down from the moment the first player hit 60 on this server due to the great honor gain. Hell I remember Vujkne camping the Un'goro quest hub a week straight, whilst others were camping all the other zones.

I did it for the proper BG population and I-m just generally not a PvE-guy.

This wasn't a "Simple gank" either. They were camping the particular location for about 1,5 hours. Not killing, from what I could tell, a single npc, just 50-55 players trying to quest.

This in my eyes isn't proper PvP, it's just cowards trying to boost their e-peen.

1½ hours? That's a piss in the water comparing to what has transpired. The only place you will find "proper PvP" is in duel with other players, be glad that you weren't targeted into an endless CC chain as seen before.

Come again when you approach ~300-400 deaths between level 30 to 40 as Defcap did during launch. I can't recall how much short of 1000 deaths he were by the time he hit 60, it wasn't much.

Fair enough, "no bored 60s" was an exaggeration. In my journey, there were no bored 60s ganking zones until about level 50+. However, at that point, they were few in numbers, fresh (wearing the same gear I was - huzzah Vanilla), and on 60% mounts. They weren't hard to deal with, as you could either gather some people & overcome them with numbers or run away on your 60% mount. And because there were only a few, swapping zones was a viable strategy. However on my second go around, these bored 60s are in every zone from lvl 20+, they're geared, and on 100% mounts.

But! I'm not even complaining about this, it certainly doesn't stop me from mercing every non-grey red faction member I come across, despite it inevitably leading to their 60 mains/guildmates corpse camping me for the next halfhour. It's part of the PvP server experience, even if it's one of the less desirable pieces and I'll take the bad with the good.

What bothers me is the absolute lack of empathy the community shows towards the new player experience.
It is absolutely harder, more frustrating, and less fun than when we leveled at launch.

The community is pretty toxic and childish when it comes to openly discussing PVP at all, whether that be frustrations of ranking, ganking, etc.

It's the Internet culture - no sympathy/empathy for people because they're just an anonymous character in a game. No need to feel sorry for them or worry about how your actions impact them as long as you are having fun. In other words, brodudes.

Indeed.

You will never gain anything from posting these threads here. The autistic neckbeards will just jump at the chance to rub salt in the wound and the rest of us have to deal with it too, so /shrug.
Greatness, at any cost.

Please explain me what kind of constructive discussion you expect from a thread named
"Anyone else feel sorry for these individuals? " consisting of 4 lines of whine about a normal pvp situation ?

Sympathy and empathy from a community sick of neckbeards making leveling far more frustrating than it needs to be would be nice.

What kind of constructive discussion did you expect to elicit from:

Or were you simply flexing your epeen trying to feel like a tough guy. If you felt the topic wasn't worthwhile, why bother commenting and keeping it at the top of the page, opposed to ignoring it and letting it die.

No one is forcing you to engage in threads you find to be whining.

I'm salty today. I am impressed by the skills of the Horde 60's killing 50-something Alliance while they're simply trying to quest. They are clearly very good at PvP... against 50's.
