why do you even post here and spew your shit on the forums if you dont play?
Simple. I'm working towards a Masters degree at a university and I've been documenting many steps that this project has been going through. It has a LARGE amount of similarities to what a small to medium sized business might have. I'll probably write a paper about Nostalrius, especially focusing on the hype generated from announcements, videos, to the actual launch and how closely it met those implied features and work done.
This is just another area that the project and its staff has to handle - how closely will it attempt to match the features and limitations of a true pre burning crusade Blizzard retail server? If it falls short, what decisions were made involving modifications that the staff felt were necessary, and what purpose did these changes meet?
Some decisions for alterations are good ones. An example of this would be the No Multiboxing policy as hardware has come a LONG ways since 2005, as well as the project not asking for a monthly subscription from the players. It only makes sense that it was banned.
So I'm looking at this stated policy by Blizzard for the 2005 / 2006 era that this server seeks to replicate, and I'm awaiting the obvious policy that will be given by the staff of "Rooftop Camping and Geometry Exploiting won't be against the rules or enforced in anyway". And then I'm going to record the reason and move on to the next issue that's a difference between what is offered and what was classic.
It's only a side benefit that not allowing these issues to be ignored generates copious amounts of your tears that sustain me. I thought I went over that before?
