This is what happens. A group of great GMs and Devs start recruiting "english" speaking GMs to help with their server. People take every opportunity to take advantage of a gracious host for their own nefarious gains.
There is trust hierarchy in the staff. This has been mentioned before. I just hope he wasn't too high on the hierarchy yet to not cause too much irreversible damage.
I hope we get some transparency on this soon. I do know it is blizzlike to let GMs have their own private account, but they cannot use it in the office and vice versa. Then again, you could only be a GM within the office due to the network and security checks. Can't really do this on a private server. IIRC if GMs abused their power and helped their non GM account/guild, they got fired.
