Time creates power. Yet we waste it how we please. I think people would like to know if thier time invested on this server atleast can be enjoyed in the long term. Instead of short memories of a past enjoyment. Its an act of curiosity to ask if our time used or wasted here will be worth our power.

This is a GAME. The only aim is to have fun, maybe in 5 months they'll say "screw you guys, we're going home" and that'll be it. Maybe someone else would take over, maybe not. So be it, just play if you want to, else don't. It'll shut down eventually, be it weeks, months or years, honestly who cares? Do you need some kind of recognition that "Oh man, I'm so hardcore I've played 50 complete days on Nostalrius"? Really? It'd just suck to have it close before we each get to our own goal, but well, that can happen and even if the server was funded by some kind of multi-millionnaire he could just tell you to fuck off. Would that help you to know it's an excentric rich guy that can pull the plug anytime simply because he can? Or do you prefer it to be someone hosting a server in his garage that can fry anytime without possible replacement? Either way, would it change something?

One problem is that you can't make profit of such a project since it's not really legal. You must publish your earnings and pay taxes on it. When the fiscus comes to check your accounting and finds out how you've been making money, it could turn into trouble. They must turn it into a non profit organisation and set their activities as a forum board or something non private server/blizzard related.

Why dont you sheep PM someone worth disturbing and ask them directly instead of causing a stir and making the same conversation repeat itself over and over...
I'm sure if they didnt think their idea would be feasible, donations / payments would be demanded.
