When I first played the game I thought the Mulgore 1-6 zone is whole world and was wondering where are all the players. After leaving starting arena and discovering whole Mulgore I thought: "This world is huge". Then I stepped into Barrens and was like: "wow".
I was scared when I flew from Moonglade over Felwood to fell from wywern into high level mobs.
At level 35 I ask my friend to kill mobs for me in Outland to get levels and drops(gave up after 2 minutes and went back to Stranglethorn).
I used to kill and skin lions above Ratchet area at level 30 just to get gold(Level 4 cubs Ruined leather scraps ftw)

After a lot of deaths and stupid mistakes I got as far as Westfall. I was on the Defias Messenger quest chain, I think it was the part where you had to kill 10 or 12 casters around Moonbrook. I died and died and died many times.

So my armour started to turn yellow then red then all red. I didn't know about repair and thought that first aid would get my armour good again.

Went farming linen cloth in Elwynn and made hundreds of bandages, then used all the bandages waiting every time for that debuff to expire. I must have spent hours farming and using bandages.

- Bought all my gear from vendors until lvl 25 or so.

- First time I meet a dwarf on my tauren I thought it was another player and I was pvping. I was doing that quest in Mulgore where you are at a dig site...

- Thought that the only to get from Kalimdor to Eastern Kingdoms as night elf was through Azshara, which was a bit troublesome at lvl 12. (The most eastern zone in Kalimdor, logic eh?)

- Thought the /train emote was some sort of bug, because players would randomly do that without any emote text being displayed.

- Skipped buying skills that I thought was unnecessary for some time, including new ranks (why pay gold for a skill you already have?), cheap shot as a rogue (ambush do more dmg), prayer word shield as a priest (need dmg, not something to reduce it) and many more...

- In the first weeks i saw so many players who are in the guild "AFK". I was very impressed about the size of this guild...

1. Looking for save game options so i wouldn't lose a level if i died. (Played some ff11 just before wow)

2. For some reason i thought that fully broken gear couldn't be repaired ever. So if i had a decent piece of armour that was almost broken i put it in my bags in hope of maybe repairing it later.

3. 1 gold felt like a fortune on the first char.

4. Running around tirisfal trying to buff everyone with my imps fire shield. Was obsessed with trying to repay buffs i got from the mages/priests around.

5. Kept leveling weapon skills on my lock for a long time in case spells would do lower dmg with low weapon skill.

I started playing on dragonblight about 6 months after wow came out my first character was a human warrior name Urther (wanted it to be Uther but I misspelt it) I had no idea how talents worked so I would put points into every spec. I also would wear leather armour so I could be more agile ( I use to play a lot of morrowind). I would also run around IF in my underwear asking people for gold and saying some one hacked my account and that they took everything. I would also sit in menithil harbour waiting for low noobie night elfs to come off the boat I would offer to show them the way to iron forge for 15 silver once they gave me the money we would walk till that fork in the road in the wetlands I would then tell them I can't go any farther because I am hated by the dwarves and all that he has to do is follow the path going to arathi highlands and that IF was the place with the dwarves just before arathi highlands (dun moder). You would be surprised by how many people fell for that.

I started as a NE rogue, and bought all the blue gear on AH, cuz I thought it was so imba. At lvl 33 someone told me a mount requires 100g and it would be hopeless for me to get one so I rerolled to an UD priest. As an Undead I avoided the green sludge in Undercity till I was 60 because I believed it was toxic and would kill me. And I leveled in holy spec :s

Back in 2005 I didn't know talents were a thing until lvl 20.
I bought gear from vendors for quite some time.
I had all my cooldowns on 1-5, but clicked most of the abilities I use all the time (haha, I have no idea what the fuck kind of logic I was using back then)
I got a disgusting oozeling at some point, and realized it debuffed the user. So I put it in the bank and didn't use it again for years.
I once ran ON FOOT, all the way from STV to The Hinterlands because I had no flightpaths in between and didn't know the Grom'Gol Base Camp had a zeppelin that went to Undercity for a shorter way.
That trip took about an hour as I got lost quite a bit on the way, but it was pretty fun and I saw a lot of new things.

Haha, almost same as I did :D I ran from arathi to swamp of sorrows on foot. Can't remember reasons, but a great experience.

Two manned Shadowfang Keep, me and a rl friend as 14 year olds made dual dwarf paladins. We had our level 20 2h-mace quest for paladins which requires you to do some quest item collecting in SFK. Two level 20 paladins with talents scattered in ret, holy, and prot just healing each other and killing level 22 elite mobs. First character was Zulrajas, a level 15 troll warrior that I never left Durotar with. I remember watching a ?? Dwarf Hunter with a grey STV level 33 gorilla as a pet killing Razor Hill guards and he had the green iron helm on. I thought it was the absolute coolest thing as I stood their in awe watching this dwarf get off a ram mount and summon a gorilla and kill orc guards with his cool looking green helm. Because of that incident, I promised myself my first character I get a mount on I am going to kill guards (which I ended up doing on my dwarf paladin at 40, went straight to Xroads in barrens killing guards. I deleted Zulrajas because I thought the temptation to play him would be too strong if I rerolled a new toon. Made a troll mage, got to 30 and deleted him to make a UD rogue. he was my first 60. the dwarf paladin was left at level 42 until deleted because of the temptation factor still. I stopped deleting all my characters I spent months of time on lol.
