I always thought mages were faster due to aoe abilities post level 20.

As far as I know questing as a hunter is considerably faster, and so is warlock.

The world record was done by a hunter (4 days 20 hours blaze it) and not a mage.

Hunters are just so god darn efficient and has very little downtime, and they can solo pretty much almost any elite, even well above their level.

I also noted pet hp regeneration (warlock) is insane (probably bug) if hunter pet is the same, you don't even need to heal it...

When NB released that was the case with hunter pets, stupidly fast regen, but they have (or had) fixed it.
