WRONG Neither one of us atleast me i didnt know its abusing i didnt know its been bugged, i never played in vanilla retail how should i know that these nodes were bugged when nostalrius said that the server is bug free and 100% working as intendet? You should seriously consider unbaning us that just silly.

@Pottu: so is it OK to farm silithus nodes every 45min exactly for 24h straight 7 days a week for the next 365 days?

Were the banned people using another kind of exploit than just farming them every 45mins for long periods of time?

Im sorry pottu but this is cause fo concern. The admins need to acknowledge the mistake and correct it. WOW is a farming game on an industrial level. A large group of players play at an extreme level, putting in hundreds of hours an month farming/making gold and trying to max there characters out. The simple fact that these 5 did something on a scale larger than most others is no surprise and no sign of guilt/evil intention.

Fact: you banned people for what u perceive as deliberately abusing an exploit
fact: no reasonable player understood it was an exploit

How are these nodes any different to the devilasaus or high level herbs? Nobody can ever again farm any form of mat on this sever without risking getting banned. No matter what u say - because there was no process here, there was no reasonability.

Whyare you being so authoritarian on this? In what way would it hurt the community to give these people a warning?

4th comment: By Norswimmer (127 – 0) on 2009/02/14 (Patch 3.0.9)
Doublewire's comment is fail. I am actively farming these in Silithus in each of the 3 hives and the most I have found is 2 per. "5 veins to a major hive" LOL That would mean that at any given time, there are 15 veins sitting in Silithus waiting to be mined, ALL AT ONCE!
btw I am the only person in Silithus atm. Including Allies.

So this comment from wowhead proves that people in retail can mine upto 15mines at once and people in nostalrius gets banned w/o a warning for farming hive? But cmon come to your sence and remove the bans you said it its not 50 players not 500 just 5 players who got banned when there was 250people that were doing it among them.. unban us and let this pass..

When the Laws of a country are written, they normally say what is not permitted in logical and numerical statementents and define the concepts they use

define "industrial" and define what is the max amount of nodes per hour/week farmed permitted cause I would like to know what is that "cap" to maximise my farming potentials

also I get to that cap with one character, can I log another character to get to the cap with it? or is that cap account based?
In the case it is account based, can i log another account (not multiboxing) and get to the cap? Or is it user-based?

define this kind of things and we are happy, or I will open ticket everytime I farm asking if I can farm 500 nodes this week

Honestly with the way this server has been treating it's player base from the very first lie about all content being scripted pre-release, nothing is beyond imagination. Given that one can be forgiven but it's been a steady stream of inconsistent bans, non-blizzlike changes, and no changes for the more requested features.

This is just absolutely not true. Just try to figure out tax laws, they change every year. Are you saying that if you had no previous knowledge of a specific law, that you could not be charged with breaking it?

please do not overreact. Five accounts were banned for a major bug exploit in Silithus, not fifty, not five hundred. These players knew very well what they were doing regardless of what few of them are now claiming on the support forum. Daemon explained this in his post here:

If you are playing normally, you do not have to fear of getting banned. As Daemon said, if you find something that seems to be too good to be true, please make a ticket and clarify the issue with GMs. Remember that we have over eight thousand active players at the moment - the exploiters are a tiny drop in the ocean.

No one is overreacting. We are all acting accordingly due the decisions the staff have made. Aside from this ban being not deserved as a permanent ban, the part that bothers me is that only 5 were banned. The staff have access to logs if they noticed 5 people farming these nodes. Why is it only 5 and not everyone who was abusing this bug. I have heard people farming these nodes for quite some time now.

If this is such a game breaking bug deserving of a permanent ban then everyone who took part in it should have been banned as they all hurt the server.

Except that is the opposite of what I am saying. I get that you're playing with me but I want to make my stance very clear. And if they do decide to ban everyone then why are hunters not banned for DMN farming.
