It is more pathetic that the GMs don't show consistency and spend a few days getting names before mass banning anyone conducting something which they appearently consider a major exploit (obviously, what says that they are not already doing so?). If you are banned for something I doubt that you'd be happy to hear & see other individuals continue doing the same thing without actions being taken.

In terms of major exploitation as the GMs put it: All deserves to be punished, or noone does.

not sure how anyone can possibly be defending the Nostalrius admins' actions here as THIS WAS POSSIBLE ON RETAIL. what is so hard to comprehend for some people? lay off the Nost pipe and get a little dose of reality. sure, you can say that this was probably not meant to happen. but it was possible, and many people took advantage in top guilds on retail. I can 100% guarantee that no player was ever banned on retail for doing this or a similar thing such as Songflower. i legit feel extremely bad for these players since theyve spent 100+ days of played time on this server in the last year, and it's thrown all down the drain because the admins once again have no idea what they're doing in terms of punishment for "exploits."

wow vanilla had loopholes, bugs, and exploits that were not intended to be there, but fixed later on.
Sethzer linked the source of it being fixed in patch 2.0? if it was not bugged or working as intended, then why did they fix it on retail?

private servers reserve the right to make the emulation of WoW the way they see fit for quality of life purposes. I certainly wouldn't want to play here with BRD coffer farming, DM north solo, c'thun glitch(that is still present on retail WoD as we speak) among other unintentional blizzlike bugs.

duplicating an item on stream from what some shrek guy posted just shows that you have 0 idea if that was supposed to be legit or not. where is the bug report? what happened after the AV bans happened? wasn't there a huge fiasco about scouting bots and asking the devs what is allowed and what isn't? did you guys just get comfortable or something? it should've been standard practice sending PMs to the devs/ISVV about specific mechanics within vanilla wow asking if it is considered "exploitive" by gaining an advantage or not.
