We finally decided to *not* restore deleted characters at all, to be fair with the players we refused to restore previously.

I am reading that as "We made a bad call in the past but to be fair to everyone we are going to keep making the same bad call"

Restoring deleted characters due to account theft is pretty blizzlike, I thought the goal of this server was to be as blizzlike as possible and I am reasonable sure blizzard handled this issue on a case by case basis. To just tell someone sorry about your deleted 60 on a 1x server is pretty brutal.

Not excusing the Nost staff at all here but to be fair, if you got hacked, its your own fault. Unless Nost's account database was hacked then it means the person who got hacked used the same account information that they used on some other server or service, or they had a virus that stole their information, both of which are the user's fault. Everyone knows that you should use separate passwords for each account you make, using the same one over and over again is simply a massive security risk. The only person he has to blame is himself as cruel as that might be for me to say.

It appears you left our a VERY major part of the message you received from the Dev... You will be able to restore your toon, you just won't be able to do it immediately because that system isn't in place yet.

The last part changed nothing i alredy said i respect the staffs choise the whole point of this thread was so this would not happen to anyone else if possible if i get the char back or not will not change anything for me i feel violated by whoever trashed my account. I dident make thsi thread to bad talk nost staff infact iw been on thir side the whole time.

It does make me feel better they have a plan in place for character restorals in the future. It would make me feel better if I knew when that future time was.
