1) It took two GMs 45 minutes to clear the NPCs.
2) It was a bug that you exploited and did not report.
3) It could have caused major lag and/or crashed the server.
4) You decided to fill the starting area with NPCs, this could give new players a bad impression of the server.

For these reasons you are banned permanently.

Of course this deserves a ban, but not a permaban. Tristie messed around with the game. Although it wasn't malicious, it needs to be handled in a way that dissuades future problems like this. Yes, Tristie deserves to be punished, but a permaban is a little too severe, imo.

And just to prove my point, are any of you who now know about this issue going to go out and attempt to reproduce this? Or are you worried about getting banned? If so, they GM's were successful in letting you know that if you pull a stunt like this, there will be repercussions.

@pmizz - yup. That's 45 minutes two GMs had to spend cleaning up the server instead of working on other problems or answering legitimate GM tickets from other players.
