Why are the people here so toxic?
I was so hype for the Feb 28th release, but reading this thread has been like a cold shower. At this moment I'm not even sure if I want to join this community because it honestly seems like a bunch of angsty teenagers :/

I meant having caster mobs frost nova you and then run out of melee range. that wasn't on vanilla retail at that time. not only is this a change of gameplay, but change of gameplay for melee based classes.

Just did some research on this. Here's the real blizzlike info regarding AI:

Sarilus Foulborne has GODLY Ai unlike any other mob in the game. He runs around kiting you WHILE shootting frosbolts.

Other Mobs like the Silverpine Mages, and Conjurer's do step back after doing a Nova. But they DO NOT kite around after this.

TLDR: The Sarilus Foulborne Mob has a unique kiting AI that is never replicated in any other mob but other mages that cast Nova DO step away if possible after casting to themselves range.

I don't understand why these threads always have to be Us vs Them. It just seems petty and makes the vanilla community look bad. Nost is the more appealing server to me by far, but I'm happy that Kronos is launching too. It's always good to have options, and the competition will only serve to make both servers better.

I'm pretty sure I said the same thing and linked the same things some time ago when the same discussion came up. I even said I specifically remembered some mobs doing the frost nova + walking away.
Whether or not you want to call it KITING is up to you. But the mobs have always done that, and I was surprised how no one remembered any mobs doing that after 10 years of retail WoW.

Honestly I'd be surprised if it wasn't scripted the same on Nostalrius. As that would be a clear sign of at least something Kronos scripted better.

Because that's the nature of humans, really. If you like something and believe in it, and then someone else comes saying your thing is worse than the thing he likes and believes in. Then there's gonna be arguments. Perhaps not amongst everyone, but there will still be that mentality of "us vs them" for a lot of people.

Why people behave like that, I can not entirely understand, but it is very normal for humans to do this everywhere in society as you see it all the time. Sport teams would be an easy comparison, but a fair one? - Not sure.

But people love making everything in life a competition and race towards superiority over others.

I suppose the sports analogy is fair. It just seems so silly because almost no one has been able to play on both servers and evaluate them objectively yet.
So instead we will just stand around and yell at eachother Nostalrius' dad could totally beat up Kronos' dad!
