A possible difference between Kronos and Nostalrius

I'm not a fan of the character auction and I'm not trying to defend Kronos, but to be fair, people bought/sold/traded/outsourced-powerleved accounts all the time in retail. Of course it wasn't facilitated by Blizzard, but the end result was the same.

Are you saying the screenshots of the Character sAuctions on Twistar & the Devs quote are fake ? I mean, it might be, why not, but your post is very unclear, the external observer just sees facts (assuming the screenshots are true ofc) regarding Kronos having Characters auctions, and then your post saying "No, it's bullshit, but I won't explain why".

where are people getting all this info about kronos? They have said countless times that kronos is SEPARATE from the rest of their servers. There will be no vote rewards, there will be no buying lvl 60, there will be no buying gold... etc. AS far as i can tell it will just be vanity items (and they even talked about this... so there wont be 100 spectral tigers running around... im thinkin of the right mount... right? haha)

Regarding character auctions: ..... Auctions existed on retail.. and rofl.. its not pay to win... a, auction character has time on the server and contributed to the economy... not at all the same as an instant 60. You dont think people are gona sell accounts on here? doesnt matter what the rules are, it will happen on private forums.

capping exp for twinks and 10 gold respecs are maybe the worst ive seen... but they are by no means a huge deal.

So far i think nostalrius will be the better choice... cause its a tiny bit closer to retail then kronos (plus will be better for NA players - especially west- due to ping)

Both servers are going to be good, lets not play politics and win votes by trashing our opponents.

Just a quick answer to those who complains: read the topic again, there's no false information.

If you want to play on a server which promote account buying, good for you.
If you want to play on a server which is NOT vanilla like, good for you.
If you want to and play on a server who will make a shit ton of money illegaly on YOUR back and Blizzard's back, good for you. (btw, they'are already doing it with their others servers)


Don't you learn from Emerald Dream's greedy corrupted Staff, making tons of money illegaly ? Twinstar is doing the same, just face it.

Kronos is part of the Twinstar Project, which is doing it, as Switchblade showed you. If you still don't believe, you could just go to the site, make a free account, and see for yourself. You really think Kronos is going to be the one exception out of a group of 4 realms??? Ok, that's unlikely, but possible. If you're stating this as fact however, you must at least have some kind of proof, oh wait, you didn't link anything to support your claim. No post from a staff member or anything on their forum or from any site saying something like, "NO, THAT WON'T HAPPEN, WE PROMISE"? Nothing? Ok... well, I can't just take your word for it, but I guess I could try to look around for you...

I found this in just a few minutes. It wasn't hard, being in the thread at the very top of their general section conveniently titled "Character Auctions on Kronos". Rather than accusing people of lying, perhaps you should check first. I read in the thread that it wasn't the first to ask or discuss this, but I can't use the search box to find others.(I'm not making an account there. You can do this one yourself.)

This character auction is disappointing, but not a gamebreaker for me; as they say, it's "merely" authorizing what would go on in the black market anyway, and wouldn't change my game-experience very much.

That said, there are now several things in Kronos (already listed by previous posters) known to deviate from Blizzlike, and while none of these may be individually very significant, they do add up to something and (assuming that content quality is comparable) Nolstarius is clearly my choice.

Yes, but actually, when you are selling a character on TwinStar, what you earn is "Star points", which are not convertible in real money.

imo, this AH won't have any benefit against black market : some guys will use it (yeeeha win button) , some won't and will still use other tricky ways.
