I tried to hand out things in barrens. Honestly you can't satisfy anyone there as the upgrades you may give are not that good and rather expensive. People already have bags often, it costs quite a lot to give them bags with extra 2 slots. While people at lvl 1-10 areas will have empty bag slots, which are really cheap to fill, and armor slots that are empty and can be quite a huge upgrade to them, and basic 2-4 silver worth weapons from vendors that will get em to deal twice as much damage, and avoid deaths. Also gives a cozy welcome in the faction! So if you are to help, just go at the low lvl areas
